About Me

After 19 years working in higher education, at large national nonprofits, and small start ups, I observed a competency that was often missing and hard to acquire- the distillation of large amounts of information to support effective decision making, in a way that is impartial to the outcome. Our leadership teams can become insular and develop unintentional blind spots. In a given industry, there can be a ‘way of doing things’ that is restrictive and impedes the best possible outcomes. I have experience- and enjoy and thrive- in complex environments, and can help drive needed clarity to organizations’ most complex challenges.

“I have had the pleasure of working with Amy Ford over the course of many years in different roles. We first worked together while she was at a national nonprofit, we worked together to create a new very successful program assisting senior homeowners. The program was successful in large part due to Amy's ability to bring diverse groups together focused on a common goal. Her ability to carefully listen to all parties and develop creative solutions was critical to her success in this role and her future roles. Amy was able to stay calm and focused not only throughout program development but also during the program launch which helped to keep everyone focused and moving forward. I have reached out to Amy many times over the years since we both have moved onto other career opportunities to gain her advice, guidance and insight that has always been helpful.”
